We’re delighted to announce the latest literary achievement of one of our own – Eltham College teacher, Tom Mitchell, has just launched his fifth book, ‘How to Stop the End of the World’. Aimed at children aged 9 and above, this captivating tale promises an apocalyptically funny adventure.

Today our students had the fantastic opportunity to attend his book signing event at the library, where they got their copies of the book signed.

In ‘How to Stop the End of the World’, readers follow the escapades of Colin Coleridge, who finds himself facing a seemingly dull summer holiday. But when weird markings and strangers acting suspiciously appear in his neighbourhood, Colin embarks on an exhilarating journey alongside his friend Lucy. Their quest involves an ancient sword, a mysterious curse, and a daring mission to save the world.

Described by HarperCollins as hilarious, fast-paced, and action-packed, ‘How to Stop the End of the World’ is an apocalyptically funny adventure for readers aged 9+, from the highly-acclaimed author of Escape from Camp Boring and When Things Went Wild.

The book is now available from all good bookshops, including Waterstones and Amazon, so be sure to grab your copy and join Colin and Lucy on their epic quest. Happy reading!
