Eltham College Swim London Regionals and England National Finalists
Congratulations to the 9 Eltham College Students who competed at the London Regional Championships 2024 held at the London Aquatics Centre.
We had some fantastic results where 4 pupils picked up multiple medals and almost everyone set a new personal best time. Key highlights were the following pupils picking up medals by performing exceptionally well in the finals; Hayden from Y8 (14 Gold, 1 Silver), Leo from Y8 (3 Bronze), Jessica from Y10 (1 Silver, 1 Bronze and Isabelle from Y7 (2 Silver).
Well done to all those that competed and we look forward to seeing you at next years’ county and regional championships.
Eltham College List of Qualifiers: Stefan from Y6, Mila from Y7, Isabelle from Y7, Hayden from Y8, Leo from Y8, Chloe from Y8, Veronique from Y10, Ed from Y12 and Ethan from Y13 who chose not to compete due to exams.
Swim England National Finalists
Congratulations to the four Eltham College pupils on qualifying for this Summer’s National Finals which will be held at Ponds Forge, Sheffield.
Swimmers have to perform within a qualifying window of the 8th March – 12th May. The 28 top-ranked swimmers in each event in each of the four younger age groupings will be invited to the British Summer Championships then the next 30 top-ranked swimmers in individual age groups will be invited to the Swim England Championships.
Jessica from Y10 (2 Events) and Hayden from Y8 (5 Events) have qualified for British Finals whilst Hayden from Y8 (8 Events) Veronique from Y10 (3 Events) and Leo from Y8 (1 Event) have qualified for English Finals.
British Swimming Finals are taking place between the 20th July – 26th July and the English Finals will be on the 29th July – 3rd August. You can follow their progress via the British Swimming & Swim England YouTube pages.
