Year 12 School Election
This year, our Year 12 students are actively engaging in the democratic process through our School Election. Each student is representing a major political party:
Harry – Conservative Party
Oliver – Labour Party
Maddie – Green Party
Austin – Liberal Democrat Party
These candidates are members of our Lower Sixth Politics set and are being supported by special advisors, who are also Eltham College students taking A Level Politics. This means that every student in the Upper Sixth involved in the Politics A Level course is participating in the election in some capacity.
The school election is an exciting tradition we uphold every time there is a general election, providing students with a practical and immersive experience in politics. The last school election in 2019 saw a victory for the Liberal Democrat Party, which has won this year’s school mock election as well:

A big thank you to all 4 candidates for standing, the staff who helped the election take place, to the Year 8 helpers who ran the polling station and counted the ballots and to form 7AHA who achieved the highest single form turnout of 95%.
