Celebrating Languages Week 2024 at Eltham College
This year, our students embraced a variety of exciting activities during our annual Languages Week. The week kicked off with an international bake-off competition on Monday that saw many of our students queuing to get their hands on some baked goodies, followed by a very special Chinese tea ceremony and tasting session that our students thoroughly enjoyed.
We also held a lively Handball World Cup, a Languages House Family Quiz, and a linguistics talk from Professor Bert Vaux of the University of Cambridge. To cap it all off, the week ended on a high note with the ever-popular International Karaoke Staff Special Edition.
This week has been a fantastic celebration of language and culture, fostering creativity, knowledge-sharing, and fun across the school.
