Eltham College Student Shines at Sunshine Tour National Championships
After a successful weekend at the Sunshine Tour National Championship of Equestrian Competition on 14th and 15th September, Year 10 student, India, placed 7th in Arena Eventing, 8th in 90cm Showjumping, and 10th in her first 1m Showjumping event. This follows her qualification by placing 1st, 2nd, or 3rd in competitions across the UK earlier this year.
India also became the first Eltham College student to represent Eltham College in a National School Equestrian Association event on 28th and 29th September, with two more events scheduled in October and during half term.
Marc Edwards, Director of Sport, says: “It has been another very busy summer for India – to qualify for the Sunshine Tour National Championships and then finish in the top 10 in three different events is a huge success. We are really pleased now to support India and have her compete under the Eltham College Equestrian Team in all of her upcoming NSEA events. I wish her all the very best and look forward to watching her eventing career flourish.”
