Sixth Formers Take on the UK Space Design Competition

Every year at Eltham College, we take a team of Sixth Form students to the UK Space Design competition where, teamed up with four other schools, students are asked to design and present ideas for a project, in this case a Martian settlement.

Having a team of 47 young people coordinating together to produce something in such a small amount of time with adult input presents a significant challenge but the resulting presentations were of very high quality.

Special mention to Jakub who presented the engineering scheme for his base to an audience of perhaps 150 other students.

We’re very proud of all the students who took part in this exciting challenge.
