Exploring Abstract Art: A Creative Workshop with Alison Kusner
Over three days last week, the artist Alison Kusner has been working with and inspiring our Year 4 pupils to create their own abstract art.
Drawing inspiration from various artists, including Barbara Rae, Wassily Kandinsky, and Monet, our pupils explored a range of mixed media techniques. They experimented with materials such as charcoal, oil pastels with ink, string, mod roc, and stencils in different combinations.
Building on their ideas and techniques, our pupils then used acrylic paint alongside the mixed media to create their final, wonderful pieces of art on canvas.
The result? Lots of creative and artistic work, with each piece reflecting their individual interpretations and imaginations!
