British Schoolboys International Ski Race 2025
Eltham College had the incredible opportunity to take part in the British Downhill Ski Race in Wengen, an experience that showcased the exceptional talent across the school. With students from Year 7 all the way up to the Sixth Form competing, it was fantastic to see such a wide range of abilities and age groups representing the school.
This diverse participation highlighted the strength and depth of the ski program at Eltham College, where both younger and older students could share in the excitement of this prestigious event.
One of the highlights of the trip was the chance for students to race on part of the infamous Lauberhorn Downhill course, known for its challenging terrain and speed. This iconic course is one of the most demanding in the world, and Eltham College students rose to the occasion, tackling the steep slopes with impressive skill and bravery. The experience gave them a real taste of what elite-level skiing is like, while pushing their limits and testing their abilities in a way they hadn’t before.
Looking ahead, Eltham College is committed to continuing to build and develop its ski team. If anyone is interested in joining and becoming part of this exciting program, they are encouraged to speak to Mr. Morrish for more information. Whether you’re new to skiing or already have some experience, there’s always room for more passionate skiers to join the team and represent the school in future events.
