Perse Coding Challenge
Last week, our talented Computing students from a range of year groups took part in the Perse Coding Challenge, a prestigious national competition designed to push problem-solving and programming skills to the limit. Competing against students from across the UK, our pupils tackled a series of increasingly complex coding problems, requiring logical thinking, creativity, and perseverance.
The challenge is designed to test students’ ability to think algorithmically, break down problems efficiently, and implement solutions using code. With time limits and real-world problem-solving scenarios, it provided a fantastic opportunity for students to apply their classroom learning in a high-pressure, competitive environment.
Throughout the week, students showcased exceptional resilience and teamwork, approaching each challenge with determination and enthusiasm. For many, this was their first experience of competitive coding, and they embraced the challenge wholeheartedly.
A huge congratulations to all who participated -whether solving entry-level problems or tackling the most advanced algorithmic challenges, every student stepped up and demonstrated fantastic computational thinking skills. Their efforts highlight the growing strength of Computing at our school and the exciting future ahead in coding and software development.
We look forward to seeing how our students continue to develop their programming expertise, and we encourage them to keep coding, keep problem-solving, and keep challenging themselves!
Well done to all involved!
