Yasir Arafat and Jules Halls continue their International Coaching careers alongside Eltham College Sport

The Eltham College Sports Department is proud to celebrate the recent achievements of Yasir Arafat and Jules Halls, two of our professional coaches who continue to make an impact on the international stage while coaching at the school.

Yasir Arafat, an ECB Level 4 coach, is currently in Rawalpindi, Pakistan, working with the South African men’s ODI cricket team as a bowling consultant. His role covers both the Tri-Nations series against New Zealand and Pakistan and the ICC Champions Trophy in Karachi. A former Pakistan international, Yasir brings extensive experience to his coaching, benefiting both the South African squad and our students at Eltham College.
Meanwhile, Jules Halls, an FIH High Performance hockey coach and mentor, was recently in Barcelona, Spain, delivering the Top Coaching Programme (TCP). This initiative supports some of the best European hockey coaches who aspire to work at the elite level of the game. Jules’ wealth of knowledge and experience at the highest levels of hockey provides invaluable insight to both his international peers and the students he coaches at Eltham.
Marc Edwards, Director of Sport, shared his thoughts on their recent success. “Both Yas and Jules have had exceptional international playing careers, and we are incredibly fortunate to have them as part of our full-time sports staff at Eltham College. What sets them apart is their commitment to growing their coaching careers at the highest level. These recent roles highlight the respect they hold within international cricket and hockey circles. Our students benefit hugely from their expertise, receiving top-level technical and tactical coaching through regular one-to-one and small group sessions. We are proud to support them in balancing their international coaching careers alongside their work at Eltham College.”
