Eltham College and Thomas Franks Foundation Join Forces to Tackle Holiday Hunger

This week, the Thomas Franks Foundation and the Eltham College Family of Schools came together to tackle holiday hunger in the community. Over two days, more than 150 volunteers worked tirelessly to prepare and pack 7,000 meals as part of the Feeding Communities mission. These meals were produced in the KGH and distributed by partner food charity City Harvest to 350 charities and community organisations feeding those in need across London and surrounding areas.

The initiative saw students, staff, and volunteers from across our schools, alongside the Thomas Franks team and young people from our community partner, Sporting Way Youth Club at Grove Park, all coming together with a shared purpose. In total, seven tonnes of food were carefully prepared, portioned, labelled, packed, and loaded – an incredible team effort that showcased a wonderful spirit of camaraderie and positivity.

A huge thank you to everyone who gave their time to make this huge operation such a success.
