Eltham College Hockey Teams Celebrate Historic Championship Wins

Eltham College is celebrating a remarkable week of sporting success. Both the Boys U15 and Girls U12A hockey teams secured historic wins in their competitions.

The Boys U15 squad won the Kent Cup for Eltham College for the first time in 19 years after a dominant performance at the Peter Firminger tournament. They fought through a challenging group stage, defeating St Lawrence College, Kent College, Claremont School, and The Harvey Grammar School. In final rounds, they continued their strong form, triumphing over Radnor House Sevenoaks and Tonbridge School, before beating Kent College in the final. The entire squad deserves praise for this fantastic achievement.

Meanwhile, the Girls U12A team made history by becoming London Tier One Regional Champions. After winning the London South Finals, they entered the top tier of competition for the first time. The team played exceptionally well, winning every match in the London Finals without conceding a single goal. They secured victories against Alleyn’s, Wimbledon High School, Surbiton High School, and Kingston Grammar School. Their skill, teamwork, and resilience were evident throughout the tournament.

These outstanding achievements highlight the dedication and hard work of our students and coaching staff. Congratulations to both teams for their incredible success!
