Year 3 Pupils Showcase Creative Storytelling in ‘Anansi the Spider’ Production
Pupils in Year 3 recently took to the stage for their very first Drama production.
They performed Anansi the Spider a vibrant retelling of three traditional Ghanaian folktales. Each tale follows the clever but mischievous Anansi as he plays tricks on those around him and learns some valuable lessons in the process!
The young cast embraced their roles with energy and confidence. Parents enjoyed seeing the playful spirit of Anansi brought to life through expressive storytelling and movement.
Music also played a key part in the performance with pupils singing a selection of songs they had learned in their Music lessons. Their handcrafted headbands made in Art lessons added a creative and colourful finishing touch to each character.
It was a joyful and memorable first step into Drama for Year 3 and a celebration of storytelling music and creativity across subjects.
