Running Through Paris with Purpose

Paris was buzzing with energy during the weekend of 13 April, and Eltham College staff were right at the heart of it. Miss Harding and Mr Willatt joined thousands of runners to take on the Paris Marathon, completing the course in support of The Personal Best Foundation.

The experience was unforgettable. From the elegance of the Palais Garnier to the roar of the crowds along the Seine, the city provided a stunning backdrop for what turned into a truly epic challenge.

“Looking back, the run was a bit of a blur,” said Miss Harding. “But some moments really stood out. Running past the Eiffel Tower with the crowd cheering was incredible. And when my legs felt heavy at kilometre 32, thinking about the children we were running for kept me going.”

Mr Willatt added, “I really enjoyed completing the marathon course in Paris. The atmosphere was raucous and supportive – much needed after mile 22. I was motivated by raising funds for The Personal Best Foundation and the work they undertake in the local community.”

Together, their efforts are raising vital funds for Personal Best Foundation, which helps children and young people from disadvantaged backgrounds access life-changing opportunities through sport.

Congratulations to both runners for completing the course and continuing to support a cause that is making a real difference.
