Year 5 Paddled, Climbed and Explored Norfolk with Gusto
After an en route visit to the Imperial War Museum Duxford, where pupils examined military history as well as retired and modern aircraft, the sun welcomed Year 5 students, and their appetite for adventure, to Norfolk. A week of fun, exploration, and team-building ensued as pupils navigated ropes courses, scaled climbing walls, and escaped the heat in and on the water.
The beautiful weather allowed water activities to be a central highlight of the trip. Year 5 sailed, paddle-boarded, kayaked, canoed and, inevitably, abandoned their vessels for a cool swim in the lake. From fresh water to salt, pupils rounded out their trip with an excursion to Holkham Beach where they explored the dunes and enjoyed the sea air.
We’re so glad that Year 5 had great weather and an exciting week in Norfolk. We are very proud of how they represented Eltham values throughout the week.
