Eltham College is celebrating a remarkable achievement at the recent Kent Dry Slope Championships, where our ski team delivered an outstanding performance, particularly in the Year 7–9 category, achieving a clean sweep of the podium in all team events.
Our skiers dominated the slopes with every Y7–9 team taking 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places, showcasing the depth of talent and commitment within our junior ranks. This incredible result is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our students and coaching staff.
It was also a significant day for William (Year 4), Phoebe (Year 6), and Niamh (Year 6), who all competed in their very first races in the Junior category. Their enthusiasm and determination saw them gain invaluable race experience and demonstrate great potential for future competitions.
In the individual events, Oscar (Year 9) delivered a superb performance to take 2nd place overall, closely followed by Henry (Year 7) in a strong 3rd place finish. Lily (Year 10) also impressed, narrowly missing out on the podium in the overall girls’ standings with an outstanding 4th place — a fantastic achievement in a highly competitive field.
We are incredibly proud of all our skiers for their success, sportsmanship, and team spirit. The future of skiing at Eltham College is looking brighter than ever.
