A Warm Welcome to Mr Paul Ssematimba at Eltham Junior School
Last week, Eltham Junior School welcomed Mr Paul Ssematimba, Headmaster of Buikwe Secondary School in Uganda, marking a special moment in our ongoing relationship through the charity International Needs.
On his first visit to Eltham, Mr Ssematimba spoke in assemblies about life at Buikwe and the challenges students face, including limited access to technology. Thanks to Eltham’s fundraising, the school can now buy 30 new computers—up from just seven for 900 students during exams.
Joined by Mr Taylor, Mr Ssematimba toured the Junior School, visiting classrooms and engaging with pupils whose thoughtful questions sparked meaningful conversations.
Mr Ssematimba thoroughly enjoyed his first visit to the UK, and we sincerely hope it will be the first of many.
