Students Explore Coastal Geology

Twenty-one Year 9 and 10 students embarked on their first GCSE Geology field trip, gaining valuable hands-on experience that brought their classroom learning to life. The day began at Hastings Beach, where the students observed the effects of recent mass movement events first-hand. They then examined the hard engineering measures implemented to protect the coastline. Finally, the group travelled to Harrison’s Rocks, where they conducted detailed rock descriptions and made thoughtful interpretations of the geological history of the area.
