Final Scholars’ Concert of the Year Showcases Musical Excellence
On Wednesday evening, the Music Department held the final Scholars’ Concert of the year. Thirteen of our music scholars performed in Central Hall to an audience of parents and several new scholars due to join us in September. It was wonderful to have them with us and to give them a glimpse of what they’ll soon be part of!
Our pupils showcased some complex and demanding repertoire, ranging from Saint-Saëns to Chaminade, with real sophistication and maturity, delivering performances of an impressively high standard. They were accompanied by Eltham’s new Associate Accompanist and Performance Coach, Yuyao Qu. This was Miss Qu’s first concert at Eltham and marks the start of a wonderful programme through which our scholars can work with her regularly as they prepare and perform increasingly advanced repertoire.
