Eltham College Welcomes Weifang Delegation in Commemoration of Eric Liddell
We were delighted to welcome a delegation from Weifang, China, as part of the cultural initiative “Mountains and Seas in Stride, Peaceward We Glide.”
Their visit marked the beginning of an exciting collaboration, which will see a group of Eltham College students travel to Weifang to commemorate the 80th anniversary of Eric Liddell’s passing.
As part of their visit, the delegation installed a special exhibition in the Old Library. The display highlights Eric Liddell’s remarkable life and legacy, including his time in Weifang, and offers insights into the city itself—celebrated as the kite capital of the world. A small reception was held in Central Hall to warmly welcome our guests and mark this meaningful occasion.
