Pupils Shine in National Young Historian Competition
For the third year running, pupils from the Junior School entered the National Young Historian competition, organised by the Historical Association, during the 2025 Summer term. This year, students participated in all three categories and achieved success in each.
George (Year 5) and Alisa (Year 7) were both awarded a commended certificate for their entries in the Spirit of Normandy World War II section. Sophia (Year 6) received the runner-up prize in the Ancient Civilisations category, repeating the same success as last year. Sophie (Year 6) continued her remarkable record by becoming a three-time winner in the same category, with this year’s work on Mesoamerican Societies.
For the first time, the Junior School also entered the Local History Study. Connie, Jessica and Macie (Year 4) worked together to win this category with their excellent project on the history of Limehouse.
A huge congratulations to all the pupils who took part in this year’s competition. Their hard work and passion for history have shone through, and we’re very proud of their outstanding achievements.
