Yueci (Year 7) Selected to Represent England in European Chess Championship
Chess continues to thrive at Eltham College, with pupils achieving success at both national and international levels. We are delighted to share that Yueci (Year 7) has been officially selected by the English Chess Federation to represent England at the 2025 European Youth Chess Championship, taking place in Budva, Montenegro from 28 October to 8 November.
This prestigious tournament brings together the strongest young players from across Europe, competing in six age categories across both open and girls’ sections. Yueci will take part in the Girls Under-12 category, and her selection is a testament to her exceptional skill, dedication and sportsmanship throughout her chess journey.
We are incredibly proud of Yueci and wish her every success as she represents both Eltham College and England on the European stage.
