Outstanding Performances in UKMT Maths Olympiad for Girls and Maths Competition for Girls
On Thursday 25 September, four Sixth Form pupils entered the UKMT Maths Olympiad for Girls (MOG), along with another 15 Sixth Form pupils who entered the Maths Competition for Girls (MCG) on the same day. The results are just in for these fiendishly difficult competitions, revealing some fantastic performances. Every Year 12 girl who entered the Olympiad received a merit or distinction certificate, with Roxolana securing the best in school certificate for an outstanding 33 marks. In the MCG, there were six merit and three distinction certificates, with Sophia earning the strongest distinction with an impressive 27 marks. Massive congratulations to all involved, and we wish these students luck as they eagerly await their results in the recent UKMT Senior Maths Challenge.
