Year 4 Paper Sculpture Workshop
Year 4 pupils recently took part in a hands-on paper sculpture workshop inspired by Nell Castor’s hanging artwork Core Chandelier, featured in the exhibition NOW 2025, currently on display at the Gerald Moore Gallery.
Each session began with a 15-minute guided tour of the exhibition, allowing students to engage with the artwork and draw inspiration from its intricate forms. Following the tour, pupils transformed their ideas into floral-like sculptures using paper, string and pipe cleaners.
The workshops provided a playful and educational experience, encouraging exploration of texture, form, and the possibilities of everyday materials in creating three-dimensional art.
