A Taste of the Côte d’Azur: French Students’ Trip to the South of France

At the start of the half term break, a group of seventeen French GCSE and A level students set off for the south of France. The study trip was an all-immersive experience, where students stayed with French families and attended language lessons each morning, targeting various aspects of their programmes of study. In the afternoons, there were cultural trips featuring the Picasso Museum in Antibes and the Musée Océanographique in Monaco, followed by a wander around the iconic casino. The sunshine synonymous with the Côte d’Azur was enjoyed by all, and students made the most of the abundance of opportunities to improve their French, immersing themselves in the culture that this excellent corner of France offers — from the sights and sounds of daily life to quirky local expressions and French gastronomy.
