Eltham College Recognised Among Top 100 Cricket Schools
Eltham College has been recognised in The Cricketer magazine’s prestigious list of the Top 100 UK schools for cricket. Judged against criteria which included a compelling commitment to cricket in the curriculum, facilities, coaching and outreach programmes, the accolade reflects our ongoing commitment to delivering exceptional coaching and opportunities for every student.
Marc Edwards, Director of Sport, said:
“Sport at Eltham College is about providing opportunity for all as well as striving for excellence. We are extremely lucky with our outstanding facilities and ground staff that allow us to run such an extensive co-educational cricket programme. To be recognised by The Cricketer reflects the consistently excellent cricketing opportunities we offer to students all year round at Eltham College, where cricket will continue to flourish due to the strength and depth of our passionate coaching staff. The introduction of the ‘Eltham College Cricket Academy’ has seen an exponential increase in the number of students in county pathway systems and recruitment of talented young cricketers to the school.”
Josh Kelly, Head of Cricket, added:
“Cricket is an integral part of school life for boys and girls at Eltham. They are passionate about cricket and dedicated to improving their already high levels. It is incredibly rewarding to have this recognised by The Cricketer as they name Eltham one of their Top 100 Schools.”
With outstanding facilities, expert coaching, and a thriving cricket culture, Eltham College continues to ensure that cricket remains a cornerstone of school life, inspiring the next generation of players to achieve their full potential.
