Highlights from an Outstanding Week of Sport

It’s been an incredible week for sport, with a stream of positive results across multiple disciplines. 

Rugby
The Boys’ 1st XV delivered a commanding performance in the Daily Mail Trophy, defeating Gravesend Grammar 52–10. Our younger teams also shone, with the U16A, U14B, U13A & B, and U12A & B sides all recording victories against Royal Alexandra & Albert School. 

Swimming
At the ESSA National Finals, the Boys’ U13 swim team achieved the school’s best-ever finish, placing 8th in the Medley relay and 9th in the Freestyle relay. Meanwhile, our Mixed U13–U18 squad excelled in the first round of the ESSA Super League, winning 10 out of 18 relays. 

Hockey
The Boys’ U16 Indoor Hockey team impressed at the London Regional Finals, securing 3rd place. Our girls’ teams also enjoyed success, with the U15A, U13A & B, and U12B sides claiming wins against Kent College. 

Fencing
Our fencers delivered fantastic performances at the Kent Junior Fencing competition. In the U16 boys’ events, Lukai took 2nd in foil and 1st in sabre, while Zayd and Mihir shared 2nd and 3rd places respectively, and Hunter finished 3rd. Zayd also placed 7th in epee, with Hunter 11th and Harry 19th. For the girls, Vivienne secured 3rd in U16 foil and 2nd in sabre. At U18 level, Thomas achieved an impressive 1st place in boys’ sabre.
