Hans Woyda Mathematics Competition
On Tuesday 2nd December, the Eltham College Hans Woyda team travelled to Colfe’s for the final league match of this stage of the competition. The team—Matthew (Upper Sixth), Laurence (Lower Sixth), Jonny (Year 11), and Alex (Year 9)—worked exceptionally well together, resulting in a nail-biting finish with a final score of Colfe’s 31, Eltham 32.
It was an extremely close contest, with the lead changing hands several times. However, strong performances in the Mental Arithmetic and Probability, and Algebra & Calculus rounds clinched the victory for Eltham.

We now await confirmation but remain hopeful of progressing into the knockout stage of the competition starting in January.
