Geological Exploration of Dryhill Country Park
Twenty Year 10 and Year 11 students recently took part in a Geology fieldwork trip to Dryhill Country Park, where they gained invaluable hands-on experience that brought their classroom learning to life.
As part of their GCSE Geology studies, students carried out detailed observations and measurements to uncover the geological history of the area, deepening their understanding of rock formations and geological processes.
A highlight of the day was constructing graphic logs and developing hypotheses about the weather events that shaped the park’s distinctive rock layers.
