Year 8 Explore Faith, Reason, and Evidence
In Philosophy and Theology, Year 8 have embarked on a whistlestop tour of key thinkers from the Early Modern period to the present day, exploring profound questions such as: What are we – mind, body, or both? And how much can we truly know about the world around us and beyond?
In a recent lesson, students engaged in a lively and thought-provoking discussion on whether experiences of God can serve as evidence for God’s existence. They considered whether such experiences could be verified using the same methods we rely on in everyday life to confirm ordinary experiences, sparking fascinating debates about faith, reason, and evidence.
