National and County Sporting Success Over the Festive Period
Congratulations to Christine (Year 12), who represented England U19 Roses in fixtures against Scotland and Northern Ireland, a fantastic achievement at the highest level of youth netball.
In rugby, well done to Brandon (Year 13) who has impressively represented Kent Rugby U18’s over the festive break including a 64:19 win against Eastern Counties. He has now been invited into the London South East training squad as they look ahead to the England RFU Counties Divisional competition in March. Well done also to Alex and Jayden (Year 11), who demonstrated their skill and commitment playing for Saracens U16 Academy at the iconic Stonex Stadium.
Cricket continues to flourish, with Ishaan (Year 7), Achintya (Year 7), and Sebastian (Year 11) earning places in Kent County squads, while Reyansh (Year 7) and Ammar (Year 8) secured spots in Surrey County squads. In addition, 22 boys and girls have been selected for the Kent Regional Pathway system.
Hockey has seen similar success, with 13 students named to England Hockey Talent Academies and a further 11 selected for London South County squads.
In swimming, congratulations to Veronique (Year 12) for reaching her first Senior National Final in the 200m breaststroke, and to Roberto (Year 8) for winning bronze with London at the Regional Water Polo Championships.
A huge well done to all our athletes for these outstanding accomplishments!
