Carey House Celebrates Charity Day with “Human Curling”
Carey House’s annual Charity Day coincides with the so-called “Blue Monday.” This year, the event was themed around the particularly wintry weather experienced locally and the upcoming Winter Olympics—a challenge for a school in South East London, where snow is rare. The solution? “Human curling.”
Point-scoring targets were set up in the Sports Hall, and willing staff members, seated on wheeled dollies kindly lent by the Drama Department, were propelled safely towards the targets by equally enthusiastic students.
The event was greatly enjoyed by all participants, and Carey House looks forward to an even bigger and better celebration next year.
