Upper Sixth Perform in Their Final Scholars’ Concert
The Music Department welcomed families to Central Hall for the first Scholars’ Concert of 2026, showcasing 13 scholars from Year 7 through to Upper Sixth in an impressive two-hour programme. The evening offered younger scholars the invaluable opportunity to perform alongside, and be inspired by, the musicians in Upper Sixth and to see the standard they can aspire to as they continue their musical journey.
Special congratulations go to Upper Sixth pupils Phoenix, Seb, Tim and Liam, as this concert marked their final performance with Eltham College. Reflecting on his musical journey, Phoenix spoke about the opportunities he has enjoyed throughout his time at the school. He shared that one of his most poignant memories was being given the chance to perform with George Crumb, an opportunity made possible through the encouragement and support of the Music Department.
Thank you to everyone who performed and put on such an impressive concert. As Mr Johns commented, “I love these concerts because I get a pro level concert about ten metres from my office”.
