Year 12 Student Wins Frankly Speaking Competition at US Embassy
Alexia (Year 12) is the winner of the prestigious Frankly Speaking Competition, hosted at the US Embassy. Competing against 11 other schools, she first had to negotiate a morning debate on the importance of free speech, with only the top six progressing. In the afternoon, the remaining competitors were given just 30 minutes to prepare a talk on how US–UK cooperation might help shape a future world. She delivered a mature and balanced speech, which was commended for how well it fulfilled its brief. Congratulations to Alexia on this tremendous achievement!
