Carey House Takes On Prison Island Challenge
Thirty-eight Carey House students from Years 7–11 set off for Prison Island in Maidstone, where they split into small teams to tackle around 25 “escape room meets The Crystal Maze” style challenges.
With 90 minutes on the clock, teams could revisit any room as often as they liked in an effort to maximise their points. Each space tested a different combination of skills -physical, technical, tactical, and the beautifully named “stressfactor” – pushing students to think creatively and work together under pressure.
After conquering (or being conquered by) their favourite rooms, everyone regrouped for some well-earned pizza, chips and squash, swapping stories about the tasks they mastered and those that caused them headaches!
