Battle of the Bands Debuts in the ABT
Our first-ever Battle of the Bands competition took place in the Antony Barnard Theatre. In previous years, such an event wouldn’t have been possible due to the limited number of student-formed bands. However, thanks to the Music Department’s continued investment in contemporary music – including the addition of our new recording studio – the number of student groups has grown steadily, paving the way for this brand-new showcase.
The evening was adjudicated by Mr Joe Pettit, Head of Rock and Pop at Trinity School, who praised the talent and flair of all performers. He noted, in particular, the impressive confidence shown by the drummers across many of the bands. The ABT technical team enhanced the atmosphere with dynamic, rock-style lighting for each performance.
A huge congratulations goes to Rock Band B, who were crowned the inaugural Battle of the Bands champions!
