Author Matthew Wainwright Inspires Years 7 & 8
Year 7 and Year 8 pupils recently welcomed author Matthew Wainwright to the College Chapel. A writer of historical fiction for young adults, Matthew spoke about his work, where each of his books features at least one Christian character.
During the session, Matthew shared an excerpt from his writing and led a creative workshop, with pupils using worksheets to explore storytelling and character creation.
Students also took part in a Q&A, where they had the opportunity to ask questions and learn more about Matthew’s writing process. The visit concluded with a book signing, giving pupils the chance to have their copies signed.
