Theatre Trip to See One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest
Lower Sixth Drama A Level students went to see the highly popular new production of One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest at the Old Vic, based on Ken Kesey’s countercultural masterpiece and adapted by Dale Wasserman.
The students were very impressed by the innovative use of projection and in-the-round staging, as well as the strikingly raw, poignant and skilled performances of the entire cast. As described by The Old Vic, the production is “a searing exploration of colonialism and the social structures built to silence dissent, this production invites audiences to experience the story in a powerful new light.”
We were very lucky to see such a relevant and contemporary production during its sold-out run!
