Stories in Colour: Young Voices from Uganda
The Gerald Moore Gallery is currently hosting Stories in Colour, an exhibition of artwork by students from Buikwe Secondary School in Uganda, with whom Eltham College has a relationship through the charity International Needs. On display in the Paul Henderson Gallery until 23 May, the exhibition presents a vibrant collection of pieces while supporting an important cause, with all proceeds going directly towards the school’s ongoing development, including its ICT facilities.
The private view brought visitors together for an evening of art and conversation. The exhibition reflects both the creativity and experiences of the young artists, and forms part of a wider collaboration with Eltham College built through shared visits and cultural exchange.
Visitors are welcome to attend the final public opening on Saturday 23 May.
