Eltham College Student Awarded Prestigious Arkwright Engineering Scholarship
It is with great pleasure that we announce that Xintian (Year 11) has been awarded an Arkwright Engineering Scholarship through the Smallpeice Trust.
The Arkwright Engineering Scholarship is one of the UK’s most prestigious awards for aspiring young engineers. It recognises exceptional promise and provides invaluable support during A level studies, helping to shape the next generation of engineering leaders through industry connections and long-term mentoring.
Awarded through a highly rigorous three-stage selection process, scholarships are open to students from all educational backgrounds. Each year, thousands of Year 11 students across the country apply, with only a small percentage ultimately being successful.
The scholarship offers an annual financial award to both the scholar and their school, alongside a rich programme of enrichment opportunities. These include mentorship from industry professionals and visits to leading engineering organisations, giving scholars a deeper understanding of their chosen field.
