Lower Sixth Students Connect with OEs for Annual Speed Networking Event
The Turberville Building was buzzing with conversation as Lower Sixth students took part in Eltham College’s annual Speed Networking Event.
Now firmly established in the Sixth Form calendar, this event brings together a large number of Old Elthamians from a wide range of industries and professions, giving students a valuable opportunity to explore potential career pathways, gain practical advice and hear first-hand about life beyond school.
To accommodate the size of this year’s cohort, the event was split into two sessions, with students attending either a morning or afternoon programme. A new pre-booking system also allowed students to arrange appointments in advance with the alumni they most wished to meet, enabling more meaningful conversations.
Representing sectors including finance, law, medicine, technology, engineering, marketing, the creative industries and many others, our Old Elthamians generously shared their experiences, insights and advice with students as they begin to consider university courses, apprenticeships and future careers.
We are enormously grateful to all the Old Elthamians who gave their time to support the event. Their willingness to share their knowledge and experiences continues to make a significant difference to our students as they take their next steps.
