Junior School Students Explore Business with Grow a Pound Fair
The Junior School’s annual Grow a Pound Fair returned this week after being rescheduled from last week to avoid the heatwave.
Supported by the Eltham College Parents’ Association, pupils were each given £1 and challenged to turn it into more money by creating and running their own stall. Stalls were full of a range of baked goods and sweet treats, alongside comics, toys, creative games and fairground-style challenges.
The event gave pupils the opportunity to develop their entrepreneurial skills, managing everything from planning and marketing to sales. It was a lively afternoon and a successful showcase of pupils’ creativity, teamwork and business ideas.
