MCC Foundation’s Cricket Festival at Eltham College
In a fitting end to the sporting year, we were delighted today to host the MCC Foundation’s cricket festival, which brought girls’ and women’s teams not only from the UK but from across the world to enjoy our fine pitches. We were particularly thrilled to be joined by the Afghan Ladies’ Team and South African Catch Trust, as part of a short UK tour with the support of the MCC Foundation.
Eltham’s own girls’ 1st XI, featuring players from Year 8 to Year 12, played the MCC Foundation Berkshire side, putting in a sterling effort and losing by 23 runs. The team was excellently captained by Rosie (Lower Sixth) and Raya (Year 8) batted brilliantly. Well done to all.
