Copenhagen Art and DT trip 2026

During half term, our Sixth Form artists enjoyed an inspiring trip to Copenhagen, exploring some of Denmark’s most celebrated cultural destinations. Students visited a range of outstanding galleries and museums, including ARKEN, the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art, the Glyptotek and the National Gallery of Denmark, where they experienced everything from immersive contemporary installations to world-famous Impressionist masterpieces.

Beyond the galleries, students explored some of Copenhagen’s most iconic landmarks, including the Little Mermaid statue, the colourful waterfront of Nyhavn and the Design Museum Denmark. Despite the wet weather, the trip provided plenty of opportunities to experience the Danish concept of hygge – finding comfort, warmth and enjoyment in everyday moments.

The visit was a valuable opportunity for students to broaden their artistic knowledge, gain inspiration for their own creative practice and experience the rich cultural heritage of one of Europe’s most design-conscious cities.
