Cardboard Sculptures Take Shape in Year 5 Art Workshops
Year 5 pupils took part this week in an inspiring series of online art workshops, led by artist Darrell Wakelam. Working with cardboard as their primary material, each class created a low-relief sculpture influenced by a different artist: Wayne Thiebaud, Yinka Shonibare, and Nathan Walsh.
The workshops sparked great excitement among students, and everyone embraced the challenge of transforming simple recycled materials into expressive, textured artworks. We look forward to seeing the finished pieces once colour has been added!
