Digital Wellness Week Launched with Inspiring Assembly from Digital Champions

This week, the school launched Digital Wellness Week, a dedicated time for students to reflect on how technology shapes their daily lives and to explore healthier digital habits. Ahead of half-term, our Digital Champions led a thought-provoking assembly where they shared insights from the recent whole school survey and encouraged everyone to rethink their relationship with screens.

The Digital Champions revealed some striking findings. According to our own school survey, 79% of students use a device within 30 minutes of going to bed and 40% of those say that social media is the main reason they stay up late.

Students were encouraged to think about how digital tools fit into their lives and how small changes can create healthier routines.

A Week Full of Activities

To support these messages, Digital Wellness Week has included a range of fun and interactive activities taking place across the school:

  • Form Fortunes
  • Poster creation
  • Student-made videos
  • Treasure hunts
  • Daily challenges

The aim is to empower students to think more consciously about their digital choices while enjoying creative and collaborative opportunities throughout the week.
