Eltham College Joins the National Reading Champions Quiz
This week, Eltham College entered two teams into the National Reading Champions Quiz for the first time.
Our Librarian, Mrs Hans, devised a book quiz for Year 9 students to take in their English lessons just before Christmas; the highest scorers were then identified and invited to take part in the South London heat of the national quiz.
Their sportsmanship and focus were both excellent, and it was a strong start to Eltham College’s involvement in this annual quiz.
The National Literacy Trust, the quiz organisers, said: “It was wonderful to see everyone enjoying a fun morning quizzing together. Well done to your students for participating; they should all be very proud of themselves and their book knowledge. Thank you for all the support you give to reading and to the quiz.”
