Staff Take the Honours in Cricket Double-Header
Eltham College’s cricket pitches were the setting for a lively staff vs students double-header, with both the boys’ and girls’ teams taking on staff in an afternoon of competitive matches. In the boys’ game, the students posted 144/8 from their 20 overs, before the staff chased it down to win by 9 wickets. In the girls’ match, the staff also secured the victory, scoring 39 and restricting the students to 31.
There were several strong individual performances across the afternoon, with Louis (Upper Sixth) leading the scoring with 50 runs off 31 balls, while Mr Thorogood scored 34 runs off 27 bowls.
A thoroughly enjoyable afternoon, with plenty of quality cricket on display from both sides.
