Summer Scholars Concert
Senior School music moved to the heart of the Junior School this week, as the College’s Summer Scholars Concert took place in the Juniors’ Rosemary Morgan Hall.
Fittingly, the concert also featured several Year 6 pupils who will be joining the Senior School as Music Scholars next term, giving them the opportunity to experience first-hand the standard of musicianship they can look forward to as they continue their musical journeys.
The impressive programme showcased a wide variety of instruments and musical styles, featuring performances on recorder, cello, piano, voice and more, with pieces ranging from Cantilena by Francis Poulenc to the first movement of Beethoven’s Violin Sonata No. 1.
Reflecting on the evening, Director of Music Mr Johns said:
“Every year seems to be more promising than the one that came before it, which is really exciting to see.”
