Languages Week Celebrates Culture, Creativity and Community

Languages Week provided Junior School pupils with a range of opportunities to explore different languages and cultures through hands-on activities, creative challenges and shared celebrations.

Highlights included a Mandarin workshop, where pupils combined language learning with arts and crafts, and a colourful end-of-week assembly that began with a parade in the playground. Pupils proudly wore national dress representing countries and cultures from across the school community, reflecting the diversity that enriches life at Eltham.

The week also featured a Languages Week Bake Sale, with pupils and families raising £330 through a range of internationally inspired creations. Certificates and House points were awarded to Year 5 and Year 6 bakers, with House winners recognised for their imaginative entries.

Thank you to everyone who baked, donated and took part in the week’s activities.
